Chicken Coops in Casas Adobes Terrace?

UPDATE: This bill was amended May 5th to remove all mention of chickens and other fowl. Now it only bars HOAs from limiting cats or dogs based on breed, size or weight.

The Arizona Legislature is considering SB1582 which originally funded school safety but has been completely rewritten by the House to instead override HOAs and allow homeowners to keep chickens in their backyard. Our CC&Rs allow common house and yard pets but not livestock or fowl, with the Board empowered to enforce the restrictions.
